Thank You, Destiny Muhammed

To kick off Women’s History Month and wrap up Black History Month with joy, we were treated to an inspiring performance and conversation with Destiny Muhammed, the “harpist from the hood”.

@destinymuhammadmusic is a recording/performance artist, band leader, composer, and producer who fulfilled her childhood dream of playing the harp later in life. She played original songs for us, including a tribute to one of her heroes, “pentatonic empress” Alice Coltrane, and patiently answered students’ many questions. Thank you for your words of wisdom and beautiful music, Destiny!
