Wes van Eck

Wes van Eck, Kindergarten Associate Teacher, immigrated to California from South Africa more than four years ago to marry his wife (a PS alum) and start a new chapter in the Bay Area. Back in South Africa he was in the field of tourism, and worked in a variety of jobs, the most fun of which was operating the world’s highest bungee jump. He has a love for adventure, but his passion has always been children and teaching, so upon his transition to the US, he decided to follow in his parents’ footsteps and become an educator. While he began pursuing his teaching credential, he worked at Nia House Montessori in Berkeley for two years. In his “free” time (he has a spectacularly spunky 4 year old son and a newborn baby) he enjoys playing guitar and any sport containing a ball.
