Matt Poynter

Matt Poynter is the Head of Lower and Middle School at Sterne School in San Francisco. Sterne School serves a neurodiverse population with a specialized program for dyslexic learners. Matt has been a teacher and administrator in schools serving neurodiverse learners in the Bay Area since 1999. Matt holds an M.S. in special education from San Francisco State University, an M.S. in educational leadership from the University of the Pacific, and a B.A. in secondary English and reading instruction from Indiana University. His daughter Stella is a PS alum, class of 2026.
