Lourdes Lopez de Gomez

Lourdes López de Gómez, 8th Grade Advisor and Spanish Teacher, was born and raised in the Sonoran Desert of Northern México.  She earned her BA in education with an emphasis in Spanish and bilingual/bicultural education from The University of Arizona. She taught all levels of Spanish for several years in both Arizona and California. She also received a master’s degree from San Francisco State University in marriage, family and child counseling and has worked in various agencies and in different school settings offering mental health services as a therapist around the Bay Area. In her free time, Lourdes enjoys crocheting, gardening, drinking fruit and veggie smoothies, and spending time with her husband, two boys, and various pets.
