Leslie Tran

Leslie Tran, 5th Grade Humanities Teacher and Advisor, is excited to join Prospect Sierra. Born in Vietnam, raised in a refugee camp in the Pacific, and educated in Philadelphia, her life experiences have taught her that everyone has a unique story and that bridges are built when these stories are shared. Leslie has spent 16 years in the classroom ranging from 4th to 8th grade. She has also served as a faculty of NAIS’s Student Diversity Leadership Conference and helped to plan the People of Color Conference in Philadelphia. Leslie earned her BA in Educational Studies and Political Science from Swarthmore College and her MSEd in School Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of the classroom, she finds joy in volunteering with grassroots organizations that work to heal intergenerational trauma and fight for the liberation of all peoples.
