Layla Souza
4th Grade Associate Teacher
Layla Souza, 4th Grade Associate Teacher, joined Prospect Sierra in 2023 and prior to this role served as the 7th Grade Math Associate Teacher. Layla grew up in El Cerrito and holds a degree in education, communities, and organizations, and a minor in dance from the University of Washington, Seattle. Driven by the belief that learning should spark joy and empowerment, Layla is earnest to continue to contribute to an educational atmosphere where kids feel safe, seen, and curious. Outside of school, Layla loves to spend time dancing, cooking and eating good food, engaging with art, and immersing in nature.
