Layla Souza

Layla Souza, 7th Grade Math Associate Teacher, is a Bay Area native born in Berkeley with a degree in education, communities, and organizations, and a minor in dance from the University of Washington, Seattle. This past year Layla worked in Seattle within administration and community outreach at a youth art education center where Layla’s love for middle schoolers bloomed. Driven by the belief that learning should spark joy and empowerment, Layla is earnest to help contribute to an educational atmosphere where the intimidation of math dissolves. Outside of school, Layla enjoys spending time dancing, cooking, and eating good food, engaging with art and museums, and immersing in nature.
