Karis Wallace

Karis Wallace, Middle School Counselor, was born and raised in the Bay Area and is a proud Oakland Native. She earned her BA from Howard University and started her career in education in Washington D.C., where she lived for over a decade. She moved back to the Bay Area in 2011 in order to pursue a career in social work. She obtained her master’s degree from California State University East Bay, Hayward. Karis is committed to supporting each student at Avis as they navigate their unique middle school journey. In her spare time, she enjoys all things home and garden, exploring nature, connecting with family and friends, and spending time with her dog.
