Kaila Wanberg

Kaila Wanberg, 4th Grade Lead Teacher, was born and raised in Wiesbaden, Germany before moving to the Bay Area when she was seven years old. After completing her bachelor’s degree in social sciences at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Kaila moved to Thailand to teach 5th grade English for two years. When the inevitable pull of family and home became too strong to ignore, Kaila returned to the Bay Area. Kaila completed her master’s in education with the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute (BATTI) and has been at Prospect Sierra ever since. Kaila lives in West Oakland with her husband and daughter, and in her free time enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and scuba diving!
