Emily Burns

Emily Burns joins the Prospect Sierra Board of Trustees after serving as the High School Placement Counselor for many years. Prior to Prospect Sierra, she worked in admissions for 11 years and has experience directing the high school admissions process at both independent and Catholic high schools in the Bay Area. She holds a BA in gender and women’s studies from Scripps College and an MA in education leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University. In her free time, she enjoys reading cookbooks and preparing delicious meals with her husband in the Sacramento area.
