Corinne Allen

5th Grade TLC Teacher

Corinne Allen, 5th Grade TLC Teacher, is a Bay Area native whose 20+ year teaching journey began in the non-profit world as she led self-defense workshops while pursuing her BA in computer science at Mills College. She then entered the world of the East Bay independent schools as a systems administrator and technology teacher, where she soon realized that she preferred the classroom to the server room. She brought her passion for empowering students to be joyful learners to teaching science and math, including teaching 6th grade math at Prospect Sierra for three years. Corinne returned to school to pursue her master’s in educational therapy at Holy Names University, and after several years as a learning specialist, she is thrilled to be back at Prospect Sierra on the TLC team. Outside of school, you can find her gardening, hiking and running trails in the East Bay hills, or attempting to do “ninja” with her son.
