Overnight Study Trips Return!

InstagramNews October 11, 2022

Last week 6th graders took an adventurous overnight trip to Camp SEA Lab in Aptos led by their science teacher Jo and the 6th grade team. They stayed in dorms, ate family-style meals under cypress trees with ocean views, and spotted whale spouts during the day and bioluminescence at night!

Some favorite activities included kayaking in Elkhorn Slough among a diversity of wildlife, investigating sand crabs, and making a giant model of a watershed in the sand.

Our students stretched themselves and grew in so many ways, and all enjoyed lots of good bonding and shared fun. Everyone was left reflecting on their connection with the ocean and the ways they impact the waterways around us. Thank you for the amazing experience, @campsealab!
