Kindergarteners Study Faith Ringgold

Kindergarteners took flight this afternoon, soaring over the city right alongside the main character, Cassie Louise Lightfoot, in Tar Beach by Faith Ringgold. They also learned how Ringgold told her story through the creation of beautiful quilts. Through this vibrant art form,our students talked about the importance of family and just how far our imaginations can take us. 💫
