Hands-On Learning About the Human Brain!

6th grade science students were treated to a Brain Awareness Program this week, which came to us from Dr. Rhea Kimpo, associate professor at Samuel Merritt and current PS parent! Students attended workshops about topics like concussions, motor learning, and sense of touch led by professors of Neuroscience.

Through motor challenges and hands-on observation, including the opportunity to touch a real human brain, we gained tons of knowledge about this complex organ. Thank you, Dr. Kimpo and friends!
