Discovering Our Own Community
As part of their yearlong journey to explore the different communities they belong to, our first graders interviewed the wonderful adults who make up the Tapscott School community. From our hardworking facilities team to office staff and teachers, students learned all about the important roles these community helpers play—and even discovered some fun facts like favorite books, ice cream flavors, and animals!
After transcribing their interviews, students created portraits inspired by Mo Willems’ (@officiallyofficialmo) Knuffle Bunny series. Be sure to check out the amazing display at our Tapscott campus and learn more about the people who help make our school great!
