Turning the usual approach to drawing on its head! ✏️🐒 Our 8th graders in Julie’s art class are creating striking primate portraits on dark paper using various shading and detailing methods, working from shadows and highlights to bring their subjects to life. It’s a great exercise in observation, contrast, and approaching familiar forms in a whole new way.
