Spanish teacher Tanya loves using food to give her bilingual students a window into the incredible diversity of Latin cultures!

Did you know? Because the Bay Area has a large Mexican population, most of the restaurants we find here are Mexican food. And within Mexican food, there is great gastronomic diversity. In 2010, UNESCO declared traditional Mexican cuisine an intangible cultural heritage of humanity!
