A TK Shabbat

InstagramNews May 31, 2024

Last Friday TK students experienced a Shabbat celebration to close out Jewish Heritage Month. One of our TK families taught students some prayers and shared that Shabbat is a way to signify days of rest during the weekend. It felt powerful to celebrate together as a TK family at the end of the school year and center our love for one another during a time of turmoil in the world.

Throughout the year, our Jewish students and faculty have had the opportunity to come together in cohort groups to connect over shared culture. Passover lunches were hosted and middle school students engaged in identity exploration through food, proudly sharing bagels and babka. For our elementary cohort’s final meeting of the year, students returned to the collaborative Tree of Life art piece they started last fall, adding words and drawings showing how they want to grow this summer.
