Whendy Costa

Whendy Costa, Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Lead Teacher, joined Prospect Sierra in 2019. She has been in the Early Childhood Education field for over sixteen years, most of which have been spent in the UC Berkeley Early Childhood Education Program. Whendy earned her BA in human development, with a focus on ECE, while her master’s degree focused on environmental education for young children. She is a California native, born and raised in the East Bay, and loves spending time outside at local beaches, forests, mountains, and deserts. This love of nature inspires her curriculum as well as her life away from school, and in her free time, you can often find her enjoying a hike, photographing flora and fauna, or curled up in her yard with a good book.
