Tiny Homes Designed by Our 8th Graders
Check out these tiny houses designed by 8th grade colab students! To begin, 8th graders learned about the tiny-house movement and the benefits of using less space and finite resources. They imagined novel spaces under 400 square feet that would facilitate a specific resident’s needs, such as a college student or grandparent.
With accessibility front of mind, students graphed out floor plans and then built house models at 1:24 scale (i.e. ½-inch to 1-foot ratio) using laser cuts for precise wood shapes, working LED lights, and a plethora of natural materials. We want to scale down and inhabit these unique spaces! 🏠
