3rd Grade’s Partnership with CEID
This fall marked the exciting beginning of 3rd grade’s partnership with the Center for Early Intervention on Deafness (@ceidberkeley) for the 2022-2023 school year. All-star CEID teacher Davana Jackson-Robertson began her weekly classroom visits to teach our students about the deaf and hard-of-hearing community and how to use American Sign Language.
During their visits to CEID, third graders have had the unique opportunity to connect with students aged 18 months to 5 years old and immediately incorporate their valuable lessons with Davana.
Our students also began to expand their broader learning about awareness and differences, as many of the CEID students are partially/fully deaf, have physical differences, and/or are neurodivergent.
