1st Graders Learn from a Local Farmer and Friend
Our 1st graders recently explored where our food comes from by learning from Javier, a local organic farmer, about the journey food takes from farms to our tables.
To share their learning, students invited families and caregivers to campus for a special presentation and even ran their own farmer’s market stand, selling baskets of strawberries and blueberries. The proceeds from their sales will be donated to ALBA (@albafarmers), an organization that supports economic opportunity for aspiring farm owners. We are so proud of our students for their curiosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to dive deeply into learning about the world around them every day!
