1st Grader Community Museum

At PS, first graders dive deep into studying multiple facets of “community” all year long. After getting to know the school community, our students became experts on the spaces that keep our neighborhoods humming like libraries, soup kitchens, BART stations, and markets. They considered how these spaces help communities thrive.

Outside their homerooms, students constructed their own community structures in colab with Gil over several weeks using cardboard, wood, and clay, then proudly presented their work in a Community Museum!
