The 1st Grade Post Office is Open!
The Tapscott Post Office is in full swing! 📬 As part of their study of communities and how they function, our 1st graders have been learning all about the mail delivery process—from writing and addressing letters to understanding how mail is collected, sorted, and delivered. Students, teachers, and staff are invited to write letters to other members of the PS community and drop them in mailboxes around campus. Twice a week, 1st graders take on the role of postal workers, gathering the mail, sorting it by location, and delivering it to classrooms and offices. It takes teamwork, responsibility, and lots of helping hands to keep the post office running smoothly—and the reward is seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces when a letter arrives! 📮✨
