Helisa Katz

3rd Grade Sign Language Teacher

Helisa Katz, 3rd Grade Sign Language Teacher, has been teaching deaf and hard of hearing children, their families, and community to sign for over 16 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, a master’s degree from Gallaudet University,  a teaching credential from San Jose State University, and is a nationally certified Sign Language Interpreter. She is the parent to a Prospect Sierra elementary school student. In her free time she loves to camp and do cooking experiments.
