eScrip, Amazon & more...

Parents, grandparents, and friends, please enroll in the eScrip and Schoolpop programs! There is no fee to register with these programs. Funds raised from these programs support the Parent Association's activities
and its grants to enrich educational projects at all grade levels.
What are eScrip and Schoolpop?
These programs are a vehicle through which merchants contribute a percentage
of sales to schools and other nonprofits. Hundreds of in-store and online
merchants participate, including Andronico's, Safeway, Target, The Apple Store, L.L. Bean, Barnes & Noble, Whole Foods, American Airlines, and Nordstrom.
How do these fundraising programs work?
At eScrip, register your credit, debit cards,
and grocery club cards. At Schoolpop, create an account name and password and then shop at hundreds of online Merchants. You may register credit cards here as well. Each
time you use the cards at a participating store, or shop online,
the merchant pays a percentage of the sale (between 2% and 18%, depending
on the store) to the school. There is no fee to register with either
program.
It is a painless way to raise thousands of dollars for Prospect Sierra.
Each time you buy something you would have purchased anyway,
the merchant contributes a percentage to the school.
Each year we increase the number of parents registered for eScrip.
We now raise about $12,000 a year. We have the potential to raise more than $20,000, if all of our parents registered. Additionally, if more parents enroll in Schoolpop, we can further increase our revenues.
Who decides how to use the funds?
The Parent Association, to which all parents belong, together with the school
administration, decides how the funds will be used.
Why are the funds raised so important?
eScrip and Schoolpop have been a key source of funds for many school
program enrichments, such as
- middle school climbing and playground equipment
- sound systems for physical education classes on both campuses
- the scoreboard in the multipurpose room at Avis
- Parent Association events and programs, including the Panther Picnic,
the popular Parent Education series, and Faculty-Staff Appreciation
- the new Parent Association grant program, providing funds that enrich
curricular and classroom projects at all grade levels
- Renovation of the Avis staff kitchen
