1/18 6th grade Assembly on Music, Art Poetry and Civil Rights. Parents are invited

Homework:

Writing: 15 minutes, 4 nights a week. Work on drafting paragraphs for your essay!

Reading Buddies: 20 minutes 4 nights a week + entries in reading log everytime + post-it notes. Use Reading Log 2.0

Math: SL 4.4

Science: Keep track of what you eat Wednesday and Thursday, due Friday 1/18.

Other: Time Managment sheets, due Friday 1/18

Notes:

We got closet to finishing The Misfits. Hopefully we'll be done with the book by the end of the week. The more we read the more interesting and exciting the story becomes. I still wonder what makes someone a misfit, though.

Joke of the Day:

A young man tutored his sweetheart maths,
he thought of it as his mission,
he kissed her once then once again and said
"There, that's addition!"
She took it upon herself to return the pleasant action,
she kissed once and once again,
smiled and said "and that's subtraction!"
Now she'd learned the basics without too much complication,
they kissed each other once, then twice,
and said "that must be multiplication!"
Meanwhile the young lady's father
had this 'lesson' in his vision,
he kicked that boy ten foot out the door and said
"Then that is long division!
