Homework

Writing:
Write 15 Minutes 5 nights a week.

*Continue working on revision strategy of stretching writing about the farm or the people on it, due tomorrow.

Be ready to do a typed draft Monday.

Reading Buddies:
Read 15 minutes 5 nights a week.

Bring Reading Buddies books and be prepared for Reading Buddies meetings and discussions every Tuesday and Thursday.


Math:

5 minutes of math facts practice daily.
Estimation, due every Thursday.
Stumper (optional), due whenever you get unstumped.
Problem Solving, due every Monday.

for Friday SMJ 69-71, bring test and sample packet.

Humanities:

Grammar: Taking a grammar break before the ERBs.

French: *Unite Packet assignments 1-6, due Monday 11/13.

Spanish: Make flashcards.

Science: Read chapter 3 and answer questions at the end of the chapter, due Friday 11/10.

Tech:

Other: Permission slips for Pizza and a Movie, due 11/10. The party is 11/17.
Permission slips for the Rosicrusian Museum due 11/16. The trip is 11/20.

Notes

We are continuing our work on revision about our Farm trips. This has been quite difficult for all of our writers, but from the what they have shared and what I have read, I think the final product will be fabulous. It is really important that students respect the due dates and deadlines for this assignment because they are working on it with other students.

Today we enjoyed the middle school production of "Macbeth." Though I had to leave early I was so excited to see students on stage doing their best work. I have been watching with interest as students rehearse their lines and battle scenes. It was great to see their product of all their hard work.

The vocalist was practicing in the church with all the windows open.
As she stepped outside what a whiff of fresh air, she noticed the gardener trimming the shrubs. “How did you like my execution?” she asked.
The gardener without turning to look at her said, “I’m in favor of it.”
