Homework

Writing:

Write 15 Minutes 5 nights a week.

* Draft with handwritten corrections, editing checklist, as well as, green, yellow and orange grammar sheets, due tomorrow.

Reading Buddies:

Read 15 minutes 5 nights a week.

Bring Reading Buddies books and be prepared for Reading Buddies meetings and discussions every Tuesday and Thursday.


Math:

5 minutes of math facts practice daily.
Estimation, due every Thursday.
Stumper (optional), due whenever you get unstumped.
Problem Solving, due every Monday.

Humanities: *Highlight reading about the Mediteranean and Fertile Crescent, due Monday 12/4.

French: * Review vocab and practice dialogue pg 44, complete exercise 1,2 and 3 on a separate piece of paper pg 45, due Wednesday 11/29.

Notes

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We did not get the chance to talk about it today unfortunately. Hopefully we'll have some time tomorrow to share adventures of our long weekends. I choose instead to focus on introducing some new rules for our class meetings and on preparing students for my absence on Thurday and Friday of this week. I will be attending the People of Color Conference in Seattle, WA. It is a chance for educators from independent schools all over the country to get together to talk about ethnic diversity at our schools. I'm really excited about the conferences and I hope I get to share a bit of what I've learned with students and parents when I return.
