Como Preparar para una Prueba

This sheet was designed for 7th Graders, but students at all three levels can take advantage of this process.

El Vocabulario: Los Pasos/ Steps

•  Make flash cards for each of the new words.

You MUST make flash cards for vocabulary until you demonstrate that you can consistently get 90% or better on the vocabulary quizzes.

Example:

•  Quiz yourself on the definitions.

•  Have friends, brothers/sisters and/or parents quiz you on the definitions.

•  Practice writing sentences that use the words AND make it clear you know the meaning.

Example: A trip:         Un viaje         Mi familia hace un viaje a España en avión.

La Gramática/ Grammar : Los Pasos/ Steps

Example: Los Tiempos de los Verbos/ Verb Tenses

•  Make flash cards for each grammar point.

You MUST make flash cards for each grammar point until you demonstrate that you can consistently get 90% or better on grammar quizzes.

Example: With verbs make a card for each pronoun-verb combination.

•  Have friends, brothers/sisters and/or parents quiz you on the conjugations.

•  Quiz yourself on asking and answering questions.

Key Point: You need to know which pronoun-verb combination to use in response to a particular question.

Example: ¿Vienen ustedes?         Sí, nosotros venimos.

•  Practice writing full-length questions and answers.

Example: ¿___________ tú al padre de Buzz?

___________________________________________________________________

¿Conoces tú al padre de Buzz?

__No, yo no conozco al padre de Buzz.____________________________________

•  Practice translating full-length questions and/or statements from English into Spanish.

Example: Do you know what they ate in Spain?

__¿Sabes lo que ellos comieron en España?_______________________________

•  Review homework, including corrections-especially worksheets.
