AfterSchool Enrichment Classes

Information Letter from Kirk, Elementary AfterSchool Program Director

Dear Elementary Parents:

The Tapscott AfterSchool program is enjoying a terrific winter session!  The children have been relaxing, playing, making art, building meaningful social relationships, and enjoying a diverse menu of AfterSchool Enrichment classes.  It is time to begin planning your schedules for the upcoming spring session.  Spring session lasts from April 7 – June 10, 2008.

To enroll your child in AfterSchool, please fill out the attached AfterSchool Schedule Form and mail it or fax it to me at the Elementary campus no later than March 14, 2008.  Even if your child’s current AfterSchool or Enrichment Class schedule will not change, you still need to fill out and return the attached AfterSchool Schedule Form to be enrolled for the spring session. 

Spring session Enrichment class fliers are now available on the school website.  Log in reminder:  The schools user name is pshmc and the password is 2learn.  To view these Enrichment course offerings, go here and click the name of each course to view its flier in PDF format.  To sign up for a course, print the flier and mail with a check and enrollment form as directed.  Instructions and dates vary from class to class, so please read the individual fliers carefully.  These classes fill up quickly, and space may be limited, so I strongly encourage you to get your registration in as soon as possible.

I am pleased to announce that we are offering, Adventures, African Dance, Batter Up, Basketball, Carpentry, Ceramics, Chess, Circus Arts, Cooked Art, Fencing, Hip-Hop, Jewelry Making, Mandarin, Ro Sham Bo, Science, Steel Drums and Tennis! 

Again, I ask that you fill out and return the enclosed AfterSchool Schedule Form no later than March 14, 2008.  It is essential that I receive your AfterSchool Schedule Form so I can develop our daily dismissal lists before the first day of the new session.  If you have questions regarding these enrollment procedures, do not hesitate to contact me at 232-4123, extension 332.
